can we PLEASE have an option to disable the god aweful thing that puts the word the curser is on into the search box.

I just upgraded my bot to 6.14 from 6.03 cuz i wanna use the :error but i forgot how damn annoying the search thing is and i think i'm gonna put 6.03 back on it

Personally, due to the fact I don't use the search feature that often, it doesn't bother me to the point where I will get angry...however it has "got in my way" before when doing some searching and it was annoying, so for someone who may use this feature regularly I can see how it may annoy.

yes that is very annoying most of the time, but geez, personaly i wouldnt downgrade because of it =////////

I agree, it's a pain though I'll be sticking with the latest version. Let's hope there is a fix/alteration for the next release.

If you really want to search for the same, why don't you just hit F3? If you need to type something else in the ctrl-f box, you can just do it, it's already selected and will be gone anyways, no extra keypresses...
