Would it be possible to make the length for signatures a bit longer? Using markup tags can often eat up a lot of space.

Signature size is fine Signatures were never intended for advertising or long dissertations

Sigs are meant for spam ... I don't see any other purpose for them other then spitting out spam/email/contact places. :tongue:

I always thought they were for meaningless disclaimers about possible non-sensical posts

Your profile is where your email, network & channels belong, not your signature. Signature was meant to be a witty saying, favorite phrase or line.

Still, 100 characters for a favorite phrase is not enough...

Find a shorter favorite phrase of 100 charcters or less ... leave the books for the library

I personally find most signatues annoying and pretty much useless and was apt to turn it off however I refrained because some of them actually makes sense that and because my signature is so ~explerative~ cool.

Well, that's the good thing about being able to disable seeing them.

The same could be said for a user pic ... I mean, they're totally not needed, but some people like them... the old board had bad limitations (no pngs!) that was fixed in this version.

It was just a suggestion, but thanks anyways even if it's not added.

I have a forum that (as far as I know) has unlimited chars for signatures, so I agree with Grimz. No harm in making it a bit longer.
