Pong! - Closing Link: 0.0.0.0 (Ping timeout) i don't beleive it's because of a slow internet connection, so i was wondering anyone could tell me whats the problem. thanks.

DalNet requires to enable the identd reply in mIRC Options, go to Connect > Identd and check the "Enable Identd server" Fill the User ID with whatever you want (no special chars) and if you're using a firewall, router, NAT, don't forget to correctly forward/open the port 113 (or the one you inserted in the Port editbox).

zack Fjord artisan Z Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 266 Australia	Does this happen only for this server? Try rumble.dal.net or even irc.dal.net as well. Even try other networks such as irc.undernet.org, us.undernet.org, eu.undernet.org, irc.efnet.net, etc. Also try the regular 6667 port, rather than 6666. In future it'll probably be best to remember to post any questions relating to issues with connecting in the Connection Issues forum You won't like it when I get angry.
