Forums mIRC Help Query Window names.

Question, It used to be that when the person you have a query window open with changes thier nick, the window would change with it so you could continue talking.
Now when the person changes thier nick the window stays as thier old one and you have no idea where they went to.

Is this an option or setting somewhere? or just the way it is now?

If the user you're talking with shares a channel (or more) with you, mIRC will see the nick change and adjust the query window accordingly. Otherwise, if you aren't sharing any channels with the user you're talking with, how's mIRC supposed to notice the nick change?

but thats the entire problem im asking, it used to change and now it wont.

Perhaps i'll just default the settings and try.


(btw, i am in the same channel. duh. :tongue: what i was sayin is you be in the middle of a sentence and press enter and no ones there, Obviously i could just look in the channel and open up a new query, but kinda pain)

was just askin if theres an option. see if defaulting options fixes it.
