Gday from Brisbane, Australia smile

Is it possible to insert uPnP Network Support for the upcoming releases of mIRC for DCC Sends/Recieves?

All the new routers have this, and with the divergance of NAT and other technologies, having support for this would make net sharing even simpler and hassle free.

So yeah, saves having to port forward particular ports to individual IPs.

Can this please be implemented?

Who cares about DCC, this is Internet Relay Chat, not Internet Relay File Transfering.

When why not just totally scrap DCC next release then?

How about stop posting crap in my threads, thanks.

Here's a quote from the website RE: the network Brad is an oper on...

We have small children on this network.

Obviously some of them have o:lines. Banger, along with you, I would also like to see DCC become easier to manage. Therefore your suggestion seems fair enough.

Thanks for the support.

My point, DCC is here to stay (obviously) but the future network technologies coming out should also be supported by this great program.

Can't you script it? *G*

There was another thread in this forum about another DCC replacement that may be of interest to you.

Just thought I would add my name to the list of those that want UPNP.

Those that argue security of upnp can ponder. Is it safer to leave a range of ports statically open on your firewall/router or risk using uPNP to open and close those ports as needed?

I prefer uPNP. Please give us this option. It also helps the newbie as there will be zero configuration for DCC's

I vouch for UPnP support.
