would not load the OpenSLL DLLs that I placed in its folder and in Windows system?

Thanks

mIRC v6.14 should automatically load them if it finds them, did you check out all the details at http://www.mirc.co.uk/ssl.html ?

is this something you compiled or got from the link on that page?

copy in Mirc folder & windows system folder :
ssleay32.dll - 163840 bytes
libeay32.dll - 1528135 bytes
msvcr70d.dll - 536576 bytes

restart Mirc, ssl not loaded...
$sslready = $flase
serevr -e somethere: * /server: ssl not available

Those DLLs are not the same size as mine, try using the ones from this zip:

did you get the OpenSSL 0.9.7c libraries from http://www.openssl.org/ ?

i'm using 98SE, and have the files only in my main mIRC directory

The two DLL's you need are libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll (from the zip I posted above).

You will have to restart mIRC to load them.

Edit: Just out of interest ParaBrat (or anyone else who knows), where is the link to the libraries on that site?

There is no link to the libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll on the http://www.openssl.org/ site. This site distributes the source code of the OpenSSL 0.9.7c libraries/toolkit. What you need is a compiled version of these sources. You either compile them yourself, of you have to find somebody who distributes a compiled set of files.

In this case, as suggested at the mIRC SSL page, you could try the pre-compiled files available from the Win32 OpenSSL Installation Project. Download the recommended Win32 OpenSSL v0.9.7c Installer. Succes!
