About your other problem, I'm afraid it must be a bug somewhere else in your script because using the two aliases you've given worked fine for me. Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments are intentional.

DaveC Hoopy frood D Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 4,230	I just pasted that lot into an empty mirc then did these two commands... /mcs * /msg: insufficient parameters (line 5, aliases1.mrc) /mcs help [19:31] -ChanServ- ChanServ allows you to register and control various [19:31] -ChanServ- aspects of channels. ChanServ can often prevent etc etc

The native effect of doing a "/.msg chanserv" is "* /msg: insufficient parameters" I would expect this as the error "* /msg: insufficient parameters (line 5, aliases1.mrc)" and the script to halt, allowing the user to diagnose why he caused it, rather than it carry on and leave him wondering why the service is not responding.
