Hi!

You've to know the IRC is a really big universe of different networks.
Quakenet or Gamesnet seems to be game oriented, so I suggest you to set up your channel there.

Visit:
www.quakenet.org/
www.gamesnet.net/
for more info on these networks.

To setup a new channel, you just have to connect to your preferred IRC server, /server irc.quakenet.org or irc.gamesnet.net using mIRC. Then you have to register your nickname and next your channel.

Each network has its own services/bots and procedures.
Visit:
http://www.gamesnet.net/start.php
http://www.quakenet.org/faq/faq.php?c=4&f=5#5
for more details.

Hope this will help!

Hey, if you really need help on setting up a channel the easy way, why don't you look around on the mIRC site. Or! You can find out what IRCd and Services the network uses, most networks services normally abide by /msg chanserv register #Channel <password> <email> <Channel Description>
and to register a nickname use /msg nickserv register <password> <email>
If you need any help,i may not be an moderator for helping or anything, but i do not alot about IRC so let me know k laugh
