There have been numerous discussions on this, to read them please use our search feature. Set it to "all forums" and expand the date range to "all" using as search term IPV6

Just so you know, the only one who decides if any feature is going to be added/tweaked is Khaled, and he doesnt announce in advance when or if something will be done. He will occasionally say that something is on his list to consider, but thats rare.

no, it means what i said, the only one who knows if anything will/wont/might happen regarding mIRC sooner/later/never is Khaled, and he rarely says whats on his list to consider.

If he said maybe, ppl would want to know when. if he said soon, they'd want to know when soon is and why it hasnt happened yet. if he said yes/ later then they would want to know why it hasnt already happened. if he said yes/soon then they would want to know what date the release will be.
As for never, thats a darn long time to commit to. That would be followed by all the ppl wanting to know about their feature request.

Khaled has such a document on his website and while I am not sure whether he includes a question about IPV6 its been mentioned quite enough, including in this thread that, for the time-being at least, IPV6 is not on the drawing board.

In addition, I don't see what the rush is with IPV6 - the IPV4 protocol still has over one billion addresses left.
