I'll try to sum up my last post ... it was edited beyond recognition.
Since mIRC supports SOCKS proxies, you might want to look into how you can use them. SOCKS proxies are not uncommon (and used in some schools). Some networks still honor the usage of SOCKS proxies, provided they're not abused. If you have questions on HOW to use a SOCKS proxy, consult your mIRC manual.
