Along the tool bar i know you can change the actualy button images. But you should be able to add your own buttons for your script.
mIRC is customizable. But it would be great if it was even more so. I'd like to be able to change a lot of things within the program. It would be a cool thing to be able to do.

yeah, it would be nice. i have room for about 12 extra button on the toolbar that go to waste. i downloaded BersIRC (another irc client) and while scripting for it was nearly impossible in the 3 days i had it, it did allow you to add your own buttons.
just some possible ideas:
on 1:toolbar:<button #>: {
/toolbar [-flags] <filename.gif/.png/.bmp> <icon #> [<hover text>]
}
flags:
-a add after <icon #> or onto end if <icon #> is unspecified
-r removes a button. <filename> and <hovertext> are unneded
-o overwrites/replaces icon <icon #>

BersIRC? Never heard of it.. Its not all fluffly and msn/aol/apple looking as xchat is it?

Xchat is too fluffy. If your going to use it.. You might as well have a mac.

BersIRC is another client very simiar to mirc, except it uses flat buttons, and overall has a nicer GUI. It is also discontinued/open source

I use xchat on Linux. mIRC is far more 'fluffier' than xchat...
