Forums mIRC Help HELP!!! need to join channel~~!!

i'm currently trying to join a channel...but it says i have to
"You need to identify to a registered nick to join that channel."

so i guess what i'm asking is...how do i identify and register a nick??

registering a nick is not always the same on different networks.

so try this:

Go to the mirc status window

Type

/msg nickserv help

then find the help for registering a nickname

Or join the channel #help (on that network) and ask.

you could prolly be on DALnet ..
if you are then you need a registered nick to get into that channel type the following preferably in your status window .....

/nickserv register password your`valid`email
after which carefully read the msg/notice from NickServ to you and follow it from then ..
once registered fully . identify to your nick using ...
/ns identify password
after which you would have an identified/registered nick so you can enter that channel
