Forums mIRC Help How do I change my nick?

I'd like to change the nickname that i log into channels with. How do i accomplish this?

current nick - /nick newnick
alternate nick - /anick alternatenick

Would also be a good idea to regisrer you nickname... it is possible that you have a services called nickserv on the network you log on.. check out /NickServ help Register or join a help channel on your network

oh haha by the way its not illegal sending people files. because sending a picture of me to someone isnt illegal

You do realize that your post is totally irrelevant to this thread? Whatever comment you think you are replying to, i suggest you re-read it, as it no doubt refers to sending files that are illegal to share , not that sending all files is illegal.
