I have recently noticed, in writing a script that displays and parses information from ETRACE that data processing and parsing is EXTREMELY slow in mIRC. It can not even /etrace a server with ~3000 users. Other clients, such as ircii based clients can easily parse a 15000+ user etrace with no problems. mIRC just crumbled when I tried to do it. There needs to be a workaround for this.. perhaps cleaner code or something. Anybody have any suggestions? Perhaps in new versions of mIRC, this can be fixed?
