i'm a new talker in mirc 6.12. i read irchelp.org and it says people can hack my mirc. it says ignore ddcs but i dont want to! how can i be secure?? thanks for the help!!!
If you're using mIRC 6.12 you should be fairly safe, just take the usual steps to protect yourself, like only accepting DCCs from people you know, etc.
The /ignore -wd * was for people using mIRC versions 6.0 to 6.11
no, mIRC as you download it is not hacked. what you download and add it it, we cant say of course. But the exploits you refer to dont add malicious code (or hack), they crash mIRC. (make it close)
