I have installed Mirc 6.12 and now am having great difficutly installing Invision. If I install Invison I get a Mirc error message saying that it will shut down due to a serious error... and it does. After removing Invison all is ok. Is there another script I can use for 6.12

Windows XP Pro
AMD 2100+
512 M DDR
Invision 2.0

If there isn't a script yet can someone tell me how to serve MP3's with just MIRC 6.12

Thanks Tommy

u do realize the sharing of mp3 is illegal dont u. therefore we cannot show u how to break the law, invision was made for an older version of mirc. its bound to have errors. the best thin u could do is NOT use mirc for filesharing and use it for its intended purpose of CHAT. find a program specifically made for sharing files. but i do hope u rethink your decision on illegal filesharing.

Im strating to realise why people get annoyed when assumtions are made..

Why do you automatically assume illegal mp3's? I have a freind whom composes his own remix musics, and techo songs. He likes to release them, and they are in mp3 format. Is it illegal to release your own songs? No, so why don't you suggest the idea of illegal filesharing, rather than accusing?

true but why would anyone need a special script to share thier own music? really its pretty obvious they dont. invision is a script with a huge reputation as being used in file trading rooms granted uve pointed out one legitimate use and your right my assumption isnt 100% accurate, but in this original posters case im going to go out on a limb to say i am not wrong.

I have to agree with _D3m0n_ on this one, granted some people do actually use file sharing for legitimate reasons, but when it comes to sharing MP3s, I know of a few people that share their own music and they all ask you directly if they can send you their music rather then hoping you or someone else will actually decide to download something they've made from a file server.

So what if it isn't their own, there is
music that is perfectly legal to share.
