while i opend channel central, and pressed 'Excepts' and 'Invites' i got this error:
[12:36] ::: e is unknown mode char to me
[12:36] ::: I is unknown mode char to me

a bug?

yes it tries to set those modes for some reason maybe its the way it resolves the exempts and invites?

Those modes aren't supported by some servers. This message was *previously* hidden by mIRC though:

61.Fixed numeric 472 not being displayed or processed by scripts.

When mIRC wants a list of bans it gets it with /MODE #channel +b, +e for excepts and +I for invites.

Still kindof a bug. The server announces it support +e and +I, so mIRC should not send the request if it doesn't support it.

mIRC can also disable the buttons in this case.

I've seen cases of mIRC hiding the buttons, did not seem to be in any relation to a lack of e/I in CHANMODES=, if anyone knows what mIRC 'looks for' in order to decide whether invite and ban exceptions are supported I'd like to know.. :P

Problem on my server is the +e is an event similar to +m or +i. It doesnt take parameters and partially locks the channel. Yes the server doesnt send the mode-announce on connect, but nothing can be helped with that.
