Is it possible and could someone please tell me how it can be done... i know it's a bit late now....

Yes, and you might also remember thinking that we don't help people evading policies set out by another company (i.e. MSN) or educational group (i.e. school, college, university).

uhum.. what? if i point to a addon, then it's up to the user, i answered a question. who are you? the new internet police? you allways complain about what other users do, why not try to help instead?? i dont think you are so "legal" so you never used a program/addon that are legal 100% *enuff said*

Actually, no, I'm not constantly moaning at other users. I get along with many. However, if you would just like to read the link I posted before, you would see the following:

"It comes as no surprise that ways to evade that policy have been created. However, do not expect us to help you with those scripts, or with problems you encounter on MSNchat while using them. We have no way of knowing anything about the script you are using, how it effects mIRC, or the protocols/commands/features on msn chat, nor will we help you get around their policies."

That post was written by ParaBrat, who, as I'm sure you know, is one of the Moderators of the Forum.

And I think you'll find I spend most of my time on IRC helping. Be it #Help on DALnet, these boards, or reviewing projects at mIRC.net and helping when possible in the Forums there, I'm almost always doing so.

And as for all that rambling at the end of your post, I didn't really understand...me not using legal programs? Could you give me a list of all the illegal programs I use then please? I'm incredibly interested...

It just gets to me when people help others break rules *Shrugs* - I'm sure you wouldn't have if you had known about that post though, I'm sure you didn't have any bad intentions

I dont help with a problem, i just point to where to get the addon, and as much as i know it's noty against any rules to do that? if it was, then i cant be able to help anyone asking a script related question, "the user maybe find a way to abuse somone".. i just want to help, thats why i hang on this forum.. and <url deleted>arent any secret site, it can be found in many posts in this forum.. so i still dont think i did anything wrong to point him there

Pointing someone in the right direction is just as good as helping them. You wouldn't post a URL that shows people how to use the recent mIRC exploit, would you?

As i said, if i dont think it will harm anyone, then i would point them in the right direction.. and an exploit for mirc is somthing that can harm many users.. so no

while we allow safe urls that will help ppl, we do not help ppl evade a policy/ban set by MSN or school/businesses etc. The post you were referred to clearly states this forum will not help ppl on this subject. Regardless of whether you feel its right or wrong, please respect at least our policy if not MSN's.

What someone else does/doesnt do isnt any of our concern and we are not judging what anyone does. Its a matter of respecting the policies someone else sets.

I dont use MSN so i cant say what they have in there agrements or not, and i cant start to read what every program says about how to use it.. i saw a addon for it, thats what i know.. so i didnt think i did somthing wrong sorry.. but i cant get all programs and all addons and read the creator(s) Readme file

Have you still not read the thread I refererred to?!

In that thread it explains that MSN has stated this..that's all that is required. After that there are several suggestions as to WHY they might have done this, so you could have read it.

Nobody was or is asking you to read through every programs readme files, but the post about MSN and mIRC has been there for a long time.

And it certianly isn't up to you to try to police him. If the moderators had a problem with him trying to help enforce the board's policies, we would take it up with him.

You posted that thing AFTER i replyed to you.. and still i dont use MSN so i wouldent be reading any files conserning it.. and i wont be reading any posts about it ether, just tryed to be nice, but i guess the best way to help in this forum is to su, and all i did was to give out, and the addon wasnt there.. problem solved?

ugh, this will be my last post here, this thread is a mess. However, if you scroll up, I was the first person to post a reply on this thread, and if you click on my first link, you would have seen that post
