I was checking http://www.irc-junkie.org and read article "Hidden connection between Islam & mIRC?". Kind of interesting. It points to http://www.akcin.net/mirc/

I would enjoy hearing what Khaled has to say about that.

Khaled didn't design the logo, Richard "Budman" Jones did.

If you skew any picture enough you will get a religious symbol.

Well, well, ...fancy findings! But do you really think Khaled could give a sensible comment on this? confused

With his Danish Paternal Grandmother we better make sure no Vikings are hiding in mIRC! Or maybe if you sing "mIRC mIRC Arnie mIRC...' for a few hours and then play it backwards you'll hear even more amazing messages wink

Well if you take the Microsoft logo, discard the 'osoft' part, then flip them around the the same manner as in that document then there's proof beyond doubt that Microsoft is rooted in Islam also! Or if you take the AOL logo, remove the 'AOL' part, and change the eye insignia to a swastika then we've got reliable evidence that AOL is a front for nazi propaganda worldwide. Oh thank you irc-junkie.org for your completely credible and newsworthy reporting, enabling us to see the hidden meanings in logos!

I don't necessarily agree or disagree with what that person found. But it's interesting to see the reaction it got.

I signed the Guestbook on that website to voice my thoughts heh. Incase you can't be bothered to go and look, which is very likely, I basically said it was ridiculous.

However, this whole bizarre situation made me remember an email I got heh..

Windows CE, Windows ME and Windows NT

If you actually went to that site, you'd realise they're calling mirc god, so this is just a waste of space.

You'll also notice the only people who agree with this so-called revelation are Islamic people themselves, probably because they are seeing what they want to see, and find every excuse to prove that their God is real, either to other people, or perhaps just trying to prove it to themselves....

The only thing that worries me is this turning into some religious debate which, without fail, always turns into an argument about the existence of God, so I think I'll stop right there :P

that is exactly why I made this page, to hear something from Khaled because he kept refusing to reply my mails.

>stupd fanatics, they see pictures and other things >everywhere, then they belive it's god, maybe take it easy on >the dope?

I can guarantee you that I am not a fanatic, but someone looking for an answer with all his curiousity.

> If you actually went to that site, you'd realise they're calling > mirc god, so this is just a waste of space.

no, I am not calling mirc as God, I am just asking if the similarity between mIRC logo and Allah in arabic.

>You'll also notice the only people who agree with this so->called revelation are Islamic people themselves, probably >because they are seeing what they want to see, and find >every excuse to prove that their God is real, either to other >people, or perhaps just trying to prove it to themselves....

I don't expect to be understood by everyone, which you are one of them.

>Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments >are intentional.

Not everyone like you born and raised in an english speaking country, it's probably their 3rd or 2nd language. and I do believe it's understandable, however I am sure it's still better than your spanish/french/arabic and turkish spelling knowledge.

It's not a matter of understanding you or not, it's stating a fact. There are no (so far) "Western" people that agree with this idea.

By the way, the line "Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments are intentional." is that persons signature, it wasn't aimed at you or your ability to write the English language.

Let's not let this turn into a flame war <3

If you dont want to start a flame war, why do you give him all the fuel he needs for one mentality?

I'm not a believer in any world religion, but personally I dont see why anyone would not insert a "joke" into a logo like this.

It's all to interesting how people react to this. Especially if you see how a stamp "extremist" is being put on it, especially if you look which countries those users come from.

If they find my opinion fuel for flaming, then that's their problem, not mine smile - This is the General Discussion forum and therefore, subjects like this can be discussed.

And I never said "Extremist" - I don't think converting the mIRC logo into an arabic term is extreme at all. However, you can't blame some people for saying it, it's the best fitting word, and yes, the countries that the people are from are in the media a lot lately because of extremists. The minority always affect the majority.

Anyhoo, I won't post here again, at least not to a topic involving politics, religion or religious terms. Nowadays, you get stamped with "racist" for the merest of comments - Plus the reasons I specified 1/2 posts back.

Well are you a racist? If not, then why do you care if people say you are?
