I am wondering is it possible to get ones hostmask via msg window, w/o being in the same channel as the nick you are trying to get the host mask from?

If not is there alternitives to getting a hostmask to determin if someone is who they are said to be?

This is for an auto invite script..

In user events like messages you can use $fulladdress, $site, $wildsite and $address (NOT $address(nick,N))

If you can't depend on any event and want to initiate something, try using /userhost <nick> then getting <nick>'s address through the userhost raw numeric reply.
