what's the diffrent between +s and +p ? confused

On most servers +p channels are listed in the /list reply, +s ones aren't.

Actually, at least on the network I hang on, +p hides a channel from /list and +s hides a channel from your /whois info.

On DALnet both +s and +p hide the channel from the channels list where +s has the advantage of hiding the channel from the whois reply as well.

actually, on DALnet and most other networks, +s and +p both hide from /whois. +s hides from /list completely, +p channels are supposed to show up in list with a channel name of * and no topic, but they don't show up because of a bug in mIRC.

I knew about the /whois, but he asked for the differences :tongue:

Didn't know about the * though, should've, given all the bug reports about it.
