Forums mIRC Help Cannot send to channel?

Why is it why I try to search some channels it responds with " Cannot Send to Channel" and how do I correct this so that I can seach?

What do you mean by 'search some channels'? Search for what? And what are you typing in at the time? Some channels don't allow colours or external messages, could be a possibility.

1. you are not in the channel you are trying to send to and the channel has mode +n
2. you are banned on the channel
3. you are using colors in your message and the channel has mode +c
4. the channel has mode +m and you are ot opped or voiced
(dalnet and maybe others?)
5. the channel has mode +M and you are not using a registered nick

Think that's pretty much the standard reasons for it + one special one. Dunno bout other networks.
