When someone on your notify list gets on IRC, it'll show in the status window with the default message (* -nick- is on IRC), however any sound file associated with that person will not play. Comments are appreciated, and thanks for the attention, LiMaO

I just noticed this in the mirc news post for 6.1: The "enable" sounds option in the sounds dialog now affects most sounds, including highlight, notify, window/icon flashing, etc. Maybe you have sounds disabled?
