Forums Scripts & Popups PicWin -script works in 6.03, not in 6.0 or 6.01?

I have a script using picture window, mouse events and different draw commands. It works fine in 6.03, but not correctly in 6.0 or 6.01.

The symptoms are:

- the window is opened and looks similar to 6.03
- despite of this, mouse events are completely ignored in 6.0 and 6.01, or so it seems
- no error reports

Well, if it works on the newest version, why should it work on older?

Not everyone has 6.03, and some aren't willing to change.

if you're not willing to change just unload that script and quit posting stupid messages here.

What's with the attitude? I ask this question to make sure that my script works with at least all 6.XX versions of mIRC.

And how is it not clear to you that I DO have 6.03? (I made the script you know)

i dont think its much the attitude,
but there are updates with each version of mIRC,
and im not the greatest scripter in the world, well i suck lol
but
there are commands that are new to each release,
some of the commands your using in your script
might be new to mIRC 6.03
so in order for it to work for your friends theywould have to upgrade,
the only suggestion that i have,
is maybe script in mIRC6.0 or 5.9 or something
and see if there aer simular commands that wil work around
im not sure if there are or not,
but maybe they will,
and maybe they will work with 6.3

I know that hard work will eventually reveal the source of the problem, I asked here hoping to find an easy answer despite the fact that Search didn't provide me with any useful information. One would think these sort of questions arise from time to time

Usally i try and search the help files,
but i usally cant find something that i understand what its saying,
i come here and ask,
then i learn somethng totally different
and i learn new every day,
lot of nice ppl here who will explain things,
when they show you the script they show you with comments why it does it so you can take your time to figure the logic,
mIRC6.03 is a great program, great release,
some times the things just wont work in an older version,
i look forwards to 6.4
but i wonder what i have now that wont work then lol
