Forums mIRC Help /ban <nickname question..

whenever i type /ban <nickname> on irc, it sets a big long ban with their ident, address and nickname. how can i stop this so that it just bans their nickname. thanks.

/ban $chan name!*@*

Include bold portion after name

removing the $chan if you type the /ban.. in the channel you wish the ban to have affect won't be a problem

np. You may look up $address also (/help $address) You can use a number int he address to specify the kind of ban you wish to have.
