hello there, i am wondering:

when i'm on network and i see user uses bnc or wingate and i /dns him/her and sometimes it returns valid ip but what kind of connection is when it does not return anything, it just say unable to resolve? i meant isnt every conn must to be resolved? (exept if opers makes their own on network) but this are normal users i am talking about.
please explain this to me

not every ip can be resolved to a hostname (or the other way around). It all depends on if the DNS responsible for that lookup reply wants to. Think of it like CollerID. Some numbers can be traced back to the owner of the phone line, where as others (usually top security) cant. All depends on the source of the information.
