Hello, Can some one point me in the directoin of a easy to use windows irc server? I set up a http and ftp server so far and now this seems interstring. Thanks.

Personally I like UnrealIRCd.

yea i was hopeing you dident say that, i installed it and i cant find the balsted conf file it wants me to config! Can i have your messenger name so i can talk to you further about this?

you should be able to find it in the unrealircd config file, if you don't have patience going through the file, don't bother with ircd.

The reason you can't find it is because... you have to create it yourself. Looking at doc/example.conf should give you some pointers.

Even with wIRCd you have to configure files yourself, it requires prior knowledge to set up most servers. You could try a commercial offering but most cost thousands of $ for the privilege of point-click.

well you can alwais have a irc server made in mircscript smile
this is the best i have ever found.

Using an mIRC script for an IRC server is, imho very stupid. An mIRC script is utterly slow, and it is also lacking. Any ASCII art becomes ruined by mIRC's inability to handle multiple spaces. And there are scores of other problems as well. Using an mIRC script for such an application is a horrible idea.

Yeah, if his intention is to run a slow, buggy, and down right bad IRC server, then an mIRC script is the way to go. However, I'm assuming thats not what he wants to do.
