now i was playing with the coding...keeping everything organized with menus seems like a good idea, but a friend suggested skiping the menus, and just using tabs, but im not sure, plus extra feature suggestions would be helpful to, and ways to improve it...

Currently i use a mix of hash tables (to store the themes), and variables (to store settings, and the currently active theme), and now i use one dialog (use to be 2, 1 for options, 1 for editing)

I'm trying to make this good but i'm still debating what to add...

A preveiw? hmm in what form...i wanted to do it in the dialog earlier but i couldnt figure it out, i did get it to echo the preveiw, but that just got annoying echoing line after line...so im not sure how to make a preveiw...

3 ways:
1. learn mdx and use a richedit.
2. use a picwin
3. use html to create a file and then use remove to delete it after previewing.

afaik, dz doesn't provide any documentation on the richedit control, making me assume there is something inherently wrong with it.

edit: sorry, there is nothing necessarily wrong with it, it is just labelled "unfinished/planned".

ah, forgot about that :tongue:, maybe x-gui.dll will be better.

I think the fullstop-colon-BLAH-colon-fullstop themes are over rated and are almost as common as a white channel background now. It all comes down to personal taste of course but it's not for me.
