When I try connecting a couple times to a server I get the throttled error (which is normal) and it retries after 30 seconds. A lot of times, 30 seconds isn't enough and my client just keeps getting a connection throttled error. I have to click the disconnect button, wait a minute or so, and try again.

What I am asking is one of two things: could the throttled retry delay be increased, or can there be an option in the connection options dialog for the throttled retry delay?

Options - Connect - Options - Retry - Retry delay

Code:
//if ( khaled isgod ) echo yes | else echo no

That doesn't work for me. It only seems to change the retry for errors like connection times out, etc, not throttling.

I think ircd developers should add a throttled numeric, which includes the number of seconds the client should wait to reconnect (as it is mirc simply looks for "throttled" in the ERROR message) - the added 'penalties' for breaching the throttle are often far, far higher than 30 seconds.

There's no real way for mIRC to know how long it should wait, maybe each connect fail with "throttled" it should wait a little longer.
