Greetings,
I'm using v7.61 as it is the highest version of MIRC which allows the use of MircryptionSuite - Mircryption v1.20.01, which allows for secure xdcc downloads. For this reason, I have not upgraded to the most recent version of MIRC. This is, however, not the basis for my report.
I wrote a simple script which uses the following FILTER command: filter -p -ww # @Tracker * $+ %argument $+ *
This filter filters all occurrences contained in %argument in the current open channel to the window @tracker. @tracker window is open and ready. However, when the channel contains the following modes: +nprtCFHKPT the filter fails with message: * /filter: unable to open file 'C:\Mirc.Vectorone\#channel.name' (line 6, popups.ini). (I've removed the actual channel name) The above filter resides on line 6. Apparently the +P mode requires special IRC privileges which I do not have, and it is the only parameter missing from my tests which invokes the error message. This begs the question as to why the +P causes MIRC to look for the channel name as a file in my MIRC folder. The filter works on every other channel which does not use modes +nprtCFHKPT. Can anyone shed some light(or work-around) on this?
