OP Lesgoll Mostly harmless L Joined: Aug 2025 Posts: 1	Not sure how to report this bug but recently mirc just randomly closes. No message or log entry that I can see that is causing this. All is running fine and then I'll notice mIRC has shut down unexpectedly. Maybe someone can point me in to a fix or where I can look for a log entry that results in this. I've tried reinstalling and even tried an older version....nothing worked. Any advice guys? Thanks

Please type the following command into mIRC and post your results: Quote //echo -a $os $version $beta $md5($mircexe,2) $file($mircexe).sig $alias(0) $script(0) $dll(0) $com(0) Please also install a clean copy of the latest version of mIRC, downloaded from the mIRC website, using the Portable option in the installer, into a new, empty folder (such as a Documents/mIRC folder), with no scripts, addons, etc. and run mIRC from there with default settings. If you run this copy of mIRC, do you still see the same issue?
