In F11 mode I cannot see the menubar.
But from the editbox in F11 mode, /dialog -ma and /dialog -m seem normal
But this is all while $fullscreen returns 0
Edit: thanks to Wims I figured out part of my problem.
If I am in status window and $window($active).state and $window(-2).state both say normal, then using the menubar to enable F11 mode does not allow seeing the menubar. But if either of them says maximized when entering F11 mode via menubar/view, then the menubar can be visible when holding the mouse over the top of the monitor briefly.
Then, once having entered .state = maximized for either setting, then toggling .state back to 'normal' allows having both .state settings being normal while still being in fullscreen mode.
If both .state say 'normal' then I can see the menubar if entering F11 mode using /showmirc -f instead of using the menubar/view dropdown.
However in none of these settings can i get $fullscreen to report other than 0.
But once i do enter F11 mode where i can see the menubar, i do see that /dialog -m and /dialog -ma do not work from the menubar dropdown but do work fine from the editbox or from the status window's right-click menu
