The /protect -r command to remove a nickmask from the protect list does not seem to work and I end up with permanent nickmasks in my protect list.

Perhaps I am using this command in the wrong way - can someone help explain how it is meant to work? Thanks.

You should be the one spending time on showing how you're currently using /protect instead of asking about how to use it properly

You remove them the same way you added them, except by also inserting the -r switch.

/protect foo@bar.net #foobar
/protect -r foo@bar.net #foobar

If you try to remove the address without mentioning the #channel, it won't work
