Hi everyone, I am a long time mirc user, and I know many things about it (configuring, etc.), so while I am no expert, I have more knowledge than many people that use mirc. However, trying to download a file from a friend has been giving me much trouble lately, and its bugging me.

*** You have a DCC pending, Set your client to receive the transfer. (90 seconds remaining until timeout)

I have been getting these messages constantly as of late, and I have no idea why. In my dcc options, I have all options set correctly, I DO NOT have dcc ignore on for any filetypes, or users, and I have all other options set correctly. Before deciding to come here and ask for help, I google'd for awhile looking for answers, and the only thing help sites said that I haven't done is /dccallow +nick

Apparently, this is a server side option, because dccallow does not seem to work on EFnet.. Does anyone have any idea what I may be doing wrong?

I have seen something similar to this before where a firewall is incorrectly installed , and the port used for send / receive is not allowed.... so you could try uninstalling your firewall and trying again. ( But if this is not the cause of your problem remember to reinstall your firewall)

The other thing to try is ALT + O , Click Connect , Click Local Info , and delete Local host and IP address, so it gets it again, as ocassionly it hangs on to old information.

then try Sending / receiving the file again... If this does not work try changing the Lookup from Normal to Server in the same place in the option, and that might work.

I found I had this trouble when I switch to v6.01 onwards.
Don't know why but clearing of the ip and local address and switching the lookup from normal to server worked for me....

The problem could be on the senders end... have they tried sending to someone else?

/dccallow +nickname is used on DALnet for certain file types, like exe, ini.
