Currently, we can only edit posts for a certain amount of time. It would be nice if that thresh hold was removed so we can edit our posts regardless of how long its been since the post was made.

As far as I understand, the edit button is primarily meant to correct typos and any inconsistencies in your post that you may have missed. You probably shouldn't be modifying existing posts for long term updates, since posts are not meant to be living documents.

The only case I can think of would be for pinned posts, but administrators can edit existing posts at any time, so that should not be an issue.
