Since SHA1 is deprecated I think it is a good idea if this dialog window would show only the SHA256 fingerprint of the certificate. Or, if we really must, show it in addition to the SHA1 fingerprint for a while.

sha-1 has been deprecated in favor of sha-256 as used in the signature algorithm, even Chrome (through Windows) still shows only the sha-1 fingerprint. That said, I do not think adding the sha-256 fingerprint is a bad idea.

Not being a Chrome user myself, I find it surprising to hear that they to this day still only show the SHA1 fingerprint, especially since they (Google) are pushing for more TLS/encryption on the Internet you'd think they would be on top of this already.

I use Firefox and they do show both SHA1 and SHA256 fingerprints in the Certificate Viewer window.

Also, ZNC shows the SHA256 fingerprint when connecting to a server which uses self-signed certificates.
