hello, i just loaded an older version of mirc 7.19 onto my win 10 pc. for whatever reason i cannot get the font fixedsys to be larger than 9. matter of fact...there are no other choices other than 9. the same version loaded on my win 7 pc give me fixedsys font size 9 or 11. 9 is a bit too small for my old eyes. if i change the font to something else such as arial, there are tons of sizes to choose from. too bad i dont care for the font itself and would prefer fixedsys. anyway to get fixedsys to fint size 11 in win 10?

thanks

Weird. on Win7, 7.43, I only have '9' available in the list for fixedsys, same on 6.35 actually.

Anyway, you can use the /font command to manually set the font

/font -z -12 fixedsys would reset all the fonts to that settings

Yeah, all the windows in mIRC will have that font setting.

It's worth noting that the negative use of the fontsize (-12) should, according to the help file, match the size in the /font dialog, which as we just saw, only has '9', or maybe '11' for you, still, it's not 12, so there is an issue somewhere.

tried your command and it indeed made it larger, however, doesn't seem to be fixedsys font...kinda looks more like arial. tried it with the -11 and youre right..that drops it back to fixedsys 9
tried the command with -10 and although its listed as 10 it actually looks more like 9

That's unlikely, triple check that you have the font installed, if so, it's probably fixedsys..

There is definitely a bug imo... Let's see if Khaled sees this and reply, otherwise making a bug report would be a good idea.

funny thing , after the command i now have font size choices ranging from 8-28. i selected 11 and now it looks more like fixedsys but still not quite

the fixedsys 11 font in my win 7 box appears to be very different than the fixedsys in my win 10...really...it looks more like arial

thanks
