I've been using mIRC for a quote bot on Twitch. About a week ago, my bot stopped working. Well, it works but I can't do my !addquote command anymore. I didn't change the coding, so I know it's not a coding error. My bot also doesn't recognize users in my channel anymore. Is it possible that I hit my limit for file size? Or is there another problem I just don't recognize? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Twitch changed default setting, now to receive join\part info about users you need to send "/raw CAP REQ :twitch.tv/membership" after you got connected to twitch irc server. You have to rejoin all channels after sending this command to update those channels nicklists.

this seems like a really poor workaround..

isn't there a way to integrate this into the mIRC client?

It's not a workaround. It's a custom capability provided by Twitch which is not part of the IRC protocol. mIRC should not support it. You integrate it into your client by using the command you were given.

1. connect
2. request /membership
3. wait 5 seconds
4. join channels
