OP IronJammer Nutrimatic drinks dispenser I Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 7	When I use mIRC in Windows XP Pro w/sp1 it crashes with a Windows error right after I connect to a server. I get this error signatrure: AppName: mirc.exe AppVer: 6.0.3.0 ModName: ws2_32.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.0 Offset: 00008d72 Weird thing is, mIRC works in the background until I click on the error message Close button. (I disabled Windows "Error Reporting") Anybody have any ideas?? I tried all the Windows compatability modes.. still no luck..

tom420 Ameglian cow T Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 35 Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada	1st never install SP1 on XP, it's reported to cause strange and numerous problems. mIRC is not running while the error message is there, it's stopped, but not yet closed.

OP IronJammer Nutrimatic drinks dispenser I Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 7	My version of XP has Service Pack 1 integrated... An yes, mIRC is running in the background while the error message is up.. If I move the error window to the side.. I can actually talk with people on a channel.. It closes when I close the error window.

Options>Local Info> unchecked both boxes under "on connect, always get:" Then I could connect without the error..
