fierce25 F	hi. can anybody help me? my pc with windows xp os keeps on restarting by itself when i try to use my newly downloaded mirc. what should i do?

To start with, open the Event Viewer, choose the System log, and look for any Error events around the time of the crash. If you were on Windows 7, the "source" column would be "BugCheck", but i'm not sure what it says on XP. Copy its contents here. Here's some sample text: Quote: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000004e (0x0000000000000099, 0x00000000001a8d8d, 0x0000000000000000, 0x000000000016b90d). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\Minidump\081513-7722-01.dmp. Report Id: 081513-7722-01.
