I cannot use mIRC to connect to Sparkpea Chat Network. I can use IE to connect to Sparkpea. I can also use mIRC to connect to and chat on I think it is called DALnet. First of all would I be right in concluding that the problem has to be the way I have Sparkpea set up in mIRC? I have read enough here to know that sometimes when you cannot connect the problem is your Firewall or your AV. But as far as I know these would interfere with all sites or none. Second, assuming I am right can anyone tell me a better source of info than the helpdesk at Sparkpea?
I am a very skilled user of application software but I have no knowledge of programming or hardware repair and adjustment. I am running Windows Seven Ultimate on a home with a modem and a router. The computer is a laptop but I have yet to try to use mIRC anywhere but at home. I run Kaspersky Pure (firewall av and spyware) at all times and I also run scans with Malware Bytes Free and Ad Aware Paid but MB free will not run all the time and I instruct Ad Aware not to and I turn off Kaspersky after going off line when I want to scan with one of the other two.
