Whenever I use the usual hotkey to turn on MS Japanese IME on Windows 7, Alt-~, mIRC's main menu, which i usually keep turned off, pops in on Alt key up. Apparently mIRC does not register the "~" key that has been pressed along with Alt. Not a killer, but pretty annoying, and there's no option to turn this off.

Have you tried this in the 7.23 beta?

This does not seem to happen on my system, but that's probably because IME is off for me.

Thanks for the bug report, unfortunately I cannot seem to reproduce this issue here.

I have enabled Japanese Microsoft IME in Windows 7 and I am able to switch between English and Japanese input using LeftAlt+Shift. However, when I use press the LeftAlt+Tilde key combination, nothing happens, whether in an editbox, a text editor, mIRC or any other application.

Can you describe a step by step method that reproduces this issue?
