OP Compudoc Pikka bird Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 14	I have noticed recently that in the status window, the servers are turning +i mode on with my nickname. Is there a way to turn it back off. I tried /mode <nickname> -i and I get an error "no such channel"

5618 Hoopy frood 5 Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 933	/mode <nick> -i should work just fine. Did you perhaps use #nick or an incorrectly spelled nick? Assuming the server is not setting the mode on its own accord, you can also go to Tool > Options > Connect > Options and uncheck Use invisible mode (which automatically makes mIRC set +i after connecting).
