here, I thought I might add something that I noticed:
1. There'd be alot of car accidents (We drive on the left side of the road to avoid that) [etc.]
A common mistake (and I think one you've since rectified in your mind since posting that), is thinking that
a lot is one word. As demonstrated, it's two. :tongue:
As for the discussion of the 'u', being English and possibly the most pedantic person on Earth when it comes to the English language, I like the 'u' being there. It's kinda disheartening to see that mIRC uses the Americani
sed spelling of things (i.e. color), but I guess it's the more obvious choice.
Given that I do not intend to live in this horrible (getting-oh-so-worse-at-a-rapid-rate) country, I may have to get used to the American way when I emigrate! That said, Australia is another choice of where to escape to and until now I was unsure whether they were Americanised too. Yay for Australia!
Oh, an irrelevant note, but I despise those McDonald's signs that say "drive
thru". Sheesh.
