we routinely hold challenges over there to promote interest in mIRC's wonderful scripting language and it would be fantastic to see some new faces. that section attracts a good amount of competition and has always been an excellent source of enjoyment for scripters of all abilities. good luck if you decide to enter, this one is tough :P

to commemorate the release of the new mIRC version, a new challenge has been started on the swift mIRC boards:

this time you're asked to create an identifier that prevails where $rand() fails: negative numbers and decimals. this should be considerably easier than the last challenge, yet still tricky to produce a good entry. have at it!
