I need to know when the first mIRC version was released and which version it was. I think I have this information but I want to verify the data to make sure my info is correct. Also, I was wondering if anyone could tell me positively which version was the first that required that mIRC to contact a verification server to make sure the registration code is valid and paid for. I thought it was version 6.3 but I'm not sure.

I'm collecting this data for a trivia game data file I'm making for a channel I moderate.

As far as I know, mIRC v2.1a was the first public release and the date was 02/28/1995. So, now I just need verification from someone or people who know and can verify this.

Each release is tagged with a date in http://mirc.com/versions.txt

The latter question is probably 6.3 or 6.31

Cool, thanks. I will check the versions.txt. I should've thought of that. My brain just isn't working today it seems.
