Clean install of mIRC 7.1. I disabled the line marker in options and it worked for channel windows, but I still get the red line in the status window if any text is printed to it while it's not active. Can anybody confirm this?

You may just have that enabled specifically for status windows. The quick way to disable it is to use Ctrl-L while in the status window. You should see the line disappear and it should not come back.

That said, it should disable on a clean install in all windows. I can't test it from work to see what happens for me.

Yes, Ctrl-L in status window got rid of it. Still not sure why the setting in options didn't take care of it though...unless it's meant to be the same as with logging: You can turn it off in options, but you still have to disable it separately for status windows.
