Which version of Windows are you using? Is that a font that comes with Windows?

You'll probably have to tell Khaled where to find it so he can test it. Are you certain the 8 looks right in other programs?

The font seems to be broken. Realize that a ".fon" file is an extremely archaic format from the Windows 3.x days, so it's not surprising that it does not properly support a Unicode application.

It should also be noted that this font also breaks in notepad. Type 123456789, once you get to 8, the font should completely change. This means it's not an mIRC specific issue and basically concludes it's the font's fault.

I've also noted that in 6.35 the font looks nothing like it should (all characters look like the 8 rather than the style of the other chars), so this is yet another issue.

Yes, it looks like this font is broken - it returns some strange results when even mIRC's font-linking is disabled. Other applications display the font in different ways as well.

Update: I may have found a method that improves how mIRC displays this font (and similar fonts), though there may be side-effects. The change will be in the next version and we can see how it works out.
