That is clearly a heavily modified mIRC install. Try to reproduce it on a clean install. If you can't reproduce this bug in a clean install then it is most likely not mIRC's fault. On the other hand, if you can reproduce this behaviour on a clean mIRC then you should repost this in the Bug Reports section*, with instructions to help Khaled reproduce it aswell.
* Edit: Did this topic get moved, or am I going mad?

It has a dcx toolbar and mts themes. you think it would cause mirc to do that...

Since those are things that specifically change the layout: yes, of course.

Remember that not every script or style is designed to work with every feature in mIRC. Maybe what you're using is designed for use with the Switchbar instead of the treebar. It's not going to be the fault of mIRC or DCX, but the design of the script or style you're using.

It may be an error in the script using DCX or it may be your mts theme causing it. If you think it's an error in the DCX script, I'd recommend showing the script on the DCX forum and see if they can tell you where the error is. You might try it without the mts theme and see if it still has the problem first, though.

It's not DCX either, you're doing something wrong. I STILL used DCX to make an inverted sbar - a toolbar like that if you like, and i have no problem with the treebar overlapping any windows. If you have any queries about this, /server irc.genscripts.net -j #genscripts

Clearly since the user removed DCX and resolved the problem-- it is DCX. Whether it is "dcx has a bug" or "dcx being used incorrectly" is rather irrelevant to this posting. That is something they can investigate further, but the issue is resolved (it seems).

The user didn't remove DCX and resolve the problem. He/She said they unloaded mts and it worked ok. I said it wasn't DCX with the bug because i've dealt with people that have had the same issue, and it turned out they weren't using it properly, or they weren't using the correct flags. Perhaps a mod should think about moving the thread to another part of the forum, but either way, it's certainly not irrelevant as i offered to help him if he came to the server i previously posted.
