i would like to ask
those who use MDX , specifcly MDX Listview control
does it work under Vista/7 for you
more specificaly, does it show ICONS for you
if you use sort of "control panel" ?

reason is that for me it didnt work under vista
and while i did search google for possible fixes
i did found that it works for some people

so if its not against rules/pisses off mods
please state if it works

I don't have an answer for your question. Sorry. However, I assume the people that make MDX would be a better place to ask. While it's not against the rules to ask here (as far as I know), you;re much more likely to get an answer from them than here.

umm, where do you suggest they ask?

And my mdx listview icons show fine on Vista.

As Thrull said, the best [people] to ask would be the author(s) of MDX. I'm sure there must be an email or forum somewhere. If not, well, try your best for support here, but I'd personally recommend switching to a better supported dll like DCX if there really are no official or semi-official support channels.

hmm on the better look
it seems that i dont have problem with MDX
but mirc itself loading icons from ICL (icon library)
only on Vista/7, on 2k/XP it works ok

on any dialog run i get errors
"* /did: 'dialog' error loading 'C:\mirc\icon-library.icl'"

not to open new topic (spam)
anyone has idea why this happens or how to fix ?

i use mirc 6.21

The first suggestion you'll probably get from most, if not all, of the helpers here, is to upgrade to 6.35, then see if the problem still exists.

it cant read from ICL file on vista -_-

Probably Vista restrictions? Try placing and loading the file from My Documents or another drive, see what happens.

It's possible that your ".icl" is really a 16-bit binary file, which is supposedly not supported by Vista.

well i dont know how to know this
but inside this ICL i do have and 256 color icon (one)
and a vista quality icons (coz i took them from vista lol) full 32bit (about 17 of them)

I use an icon library with no issues on Vista.

Again, show us the code you are having problems with. Verify your path as well.

I highly suggest using a new file format. .icl is extremely old (windows 3.1). .ico files are recommended.

yes but .ico only contains 1 icon and its sizes/quality
.icl is library of many .ico

anyways problem is solved
it indeed seemed .icl was 16bit
used Microangelo to re-save as 32bit and now works

thanks to all and sorry for annoyance :P
